Mayor Making
Our volunteers have been out and about representing Insights.
In early May Val and John attended the annual Mayor Making in the Civic Hall. Val gave a short speech outlining the work Insights carry out. Insights were one of the retiring Mayor Cllr Stuart Bostock’s four chosen charities. It is an honour we have been chosen again, which demonstrated the value given to our services. We were delighted to be awarded with a cheque for £1086.71, an amazing amount.
Whose Wine is it anyway?
Rhiannon and Tony attended Richmond Village on the 16th May to receive a donation from Wych-Malbank Rotary Club. They received a very warm welcome and had a great time enjoying the wine tasting and the cheese. The final donation amount is to be confirmed. We are very grateful for this kind donation. Both we, and Macmillan Cancer Support were recipients of this fun fundraiser. The Rotary Club have been very supportive of our work, previously giving us a substantial donation when we first launched and later funding for our training equipment.

Insights cease to offer one to one listening. March 2025
Insights was born out of the COVID pandemic back in 2021. Today people are seeking a different type of support. Rituals such as funerals are now 'allowed' and people are looking for more peer to peer support for the long period after the funeral. In recent months one to one listening referrals have diminished.
Due to this shift the Committee has decided, regrettably, that Insights will cease offering its one to one listening service. However, its two successful groups with continue with a view to potentially increase this aspect of Insights.
Our Namaste Box.
At Barony Lodge on 7th of May we were privileged to receive training from EoLP's and Insights friend Francis. Nick Hutt, Secretary and Treasurer of the Church Warden's Merger Fund, donated a namaste box to Insights alongside other dementia support groups.
The Namaste Box contains activities that help carers stimulate the senses of touch, sight, hearing, and smell, such as textured materials, colourful objects, and familiar scents.

Insights recipient of Mayoral causes.

Councillor Stuart Bostock is Mayor of Nantwich Town Council. He was invested at the Mayor Making ceremony held at the Annual Town Council meeting on Thursday 9th May 2024.
We were delights that he has made us one of the recipients of his Mayoral Causes/Charities.
This is the second time we have had this honour. We feel humbled and appreciative of this gesture supporting and encouraging our organisation.
